Good afternoon! I am so excited to connect with
you today on an incredible opportunity; the National MS Society is excited to
host the first ever, virtual, nationwide Black MS Experience Summit! This event
is an opportunity for the Black MS community to come together during a time of
so much tumult and uncertainly, learn about topics related to the Black MS
experience and provide input on these issues.
Being Black with MS carries unique challenges and
experiences. From scientific and clinical differences in the disease itself to
stark inequities in the healthcare system and beyond. The Black MS Experience Summit
is an opportunity to connect with others who understand the distinct experience
of life with MS as a Black person. Throughout this three-day virtual event we
will forge powerful connections, learn from leading scientific and healthcare
experts and give voice to the unique community needs.
The Summit will be delivered through a virtual
platform and will be accessible to anyone nationwide via a web connection. Join
us Sept. 22-24 from 2-4pm EST, with different content available each day.
