Help Support Medicare Part D Coverage for Off-label Drugs for People with Multiple Sclerosis

Stuart SchlossmanFor the Benefit of the Patient

URGE Congress to support the Part D Off-label

Prescription Parity Act (H.R 1055). Doctors routinely prescribe drugs for off-label purposes to treat diseases that are not listed on the label based on their professional medical judgment. Most of these treatments are prescribed because “on-label” treatment does not exist or is unsuccessful. Thus, the current rules cause people living with MS and other chronic conditions to be denied medically necessary treatment that could vastly improve their quality of life because known uses that are “off-label” are not covered.
