Approved therapies to treat RRMS



  • COPAXONE®: A unique RRMS therapy thought to modify the immune response by helping to restore balance in the immune systema
  

 Interferons: Modify the immune system by preventing immune cells from entering
   the central nervous system (CNS).b,c
  • Avonex® (interferon beta-1a)
  • Betaseron® (interferon beta-1b)
  • Extavia® (interferon beta-1b)
  • Rebif® (interferon beta-1a)


  • GilenyaTM (fingolimod): Believed to work by preventing immune cells from leaving the lymph nodes. As a result, immune cells in the CNS and the body are reducedd


  • Tysabri® (natalizumab): Modifies the immune response by reducing the movement of immune cells into the CNSe


  • Novantrone® (mitoxantrone): An immunosuppressant that is approved for use in patients with worsening RRMS, secondary-progressive MS, or progressive-relapsing MS
