The FDA has launched an important recall of alcohol prep pads, swabs, and swabsticks manufactured by Triad Group because of possible contamination. Anyone taking an injectable medication for their MS should check the alcohol prep pads in their medication package and should not use them if they were manufactured by Triad Group. Because alcohol pads/swabs may be manufactured by one company and distributed by another, if you cannot tell whether the product was manufactured by Triad, you can call the 800 number provided on the product packaging to find out, or contact the patient support program for the injectable medication you are taking to find out who manufactures the swabs that are included with your medication.
