A goal of MS therapy: slowing the rate of brain atrophy (shrinkage)!

Stuart SchlossmanBoster's MS Corner, Multiple Sclerosis

MS brains atrophy (shrink) at a faster rate than non-MS brains (up to 10 times faster!). It should be our goal when treating people with MS that we try to slow down brain volume loss. Some MS drugs are quite good at slowing the rates of brain atrophy.

Other MS drugs do not seem to be able to do this very well. How’s YOUR brain volume?
