4) First ORAL Medication is FDA approved for Relapse Remitting Multiple Sclerosis. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved fingolimod capsules (Gilenya,™ Novartis International AG) for reducing the frequency of clinical relapses and delaying the accumulation of physical disability in relapsing forms of MS, making it the first oral disease-modifying therapy for the treatment of multiple sclerosis. According to Novartis, the drug will be available for prescription in coming weeks.
5) The Liberation Treatment – is being persued as the public wants more information on the understanding of CCSVI (Chronic Cerebro Spinal Venous Insufficency). New Studies will carry out significant steps needed to confirm the phenomenon originally described by Dr. Paolo Zamboni and resolve the questions raised by him and others as to whether CCSVI is a cause of MS or related to MS in some other manner.
7) MS Views and News – will continue to provide educational information and resources for those affected by MS, into 2011 and beyond.
Happy Holidays!!
Sincere Regards,
