As part of Bayer’s commitment to people with multiple sclerosis, we are pleased to introduce the new BETASERON® (interferon beta – 1b) Injection Syringe. Although the medication is the same, its delivery system has been redesigned with patients’ needs in mind. It can help make it easy for people taking BETASERON to administer their medication.
The new syringe offers:

A large, orange, plastic removable tip cap (PRTC) that patients simply twist to remove

A bigger label with easy-to-read graduation marks A green syringe plunger that is larger and has a more ergonomic thumb plate.
In addition, the new syringe is compatible with the optional autoinjector, BETAJECT® Lite. When used in combination with BETAJECT Lite, administration time is reduced to approximately 10 seconds.
For years, Bayer has been helping people with MS understand their treatment options and manage their treatment. People taking BETASERON can use both the current and new syringes with BETAJECT Lite. INDICATIONS AND USAGE
BETASERON® (interferon beta-1b) is indicated for the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis to reduce the frequency of clinical exacerbations. Patients with multiple sclerosis in whom efficacy has been demonstrated include patients who have experienced a first clinical episode and have MRI features consistent with multiple sclerosis.
